A free online scientific calculator with trigonometry, logarithms, powers, roots, and constants — right in your browser.
Type with your keyboard too — digits, operators, parentheses, Enter to evaluate, Backspace to delete.
This scientific calculator goes beyond the four basic operations to handle the functions you need for algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and science homework. It respects the standard order of operations (PEMDAS/BODMAS), so expressions like 2 + 3 × 4 correctly return 14, not 20.
The calculator evaluates expressions using the standard precedence: parentheses first, then exponents, then multiplication and division, and finally addition and subtraction. When in doubt, add parentheses to make your intent explicit — for example, write (2 + 3) × 4 if you want the addition to happen first.
Trigonometric functions can interpret angles in degrees or radians. Most everyday and geometry problems use degrees (a right angle is 90°), while calculus and physics often use radians (a right angle is π/2). Set the mode with the toggle above before calculating sin, cos, or tan.
Yes. It is completely free, needs no signup, and runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
Yes. It applies standard PEMDAS/BODMAS precedence, evaluating parentheses, exponents, multiplication/division, and addition/subtraction in the correct order.
Use the Degrees/Radians toggle above the keypad. It changes how sin, cos, and tan interpret the angle you enter.
Yes. Type digits, operators, decimal points, and parentheses directly, press Enter or = to evaluate, and Backspace to delete the last character.
